Vision Statement

God has called Agape Christian Church to be a church of prayer and to make disciples, by honoring Jesus Christ through meaningful worship, nourishing believers through Bible teaching, serving each other in unselfish love, and sharing the gospel with the community around us.

When we gather for worship, there is an audience of one, and that is God.

We will follow the example of the church in the New Testament as they worshiped through teaching, praise, communion, prayer and fellowship.

Our worship service will welcome Christians and those seeking Christ or a church home, in a way that invites everyone to understand and participated in all of the elements of worship.

Our hope and our prayer is that every person who is a part of our worship experience will personally encounter God.

We will nourish believers through Bible teaching and prayer.

We will proactively promote and support Bible-centered studies that involve all groups within the church body.

We will properly develop, train and equip our Bible Study leaders to lead effectively.

We will commit to provide a scheduled study program for all active church interest groups.

We will repeat courses of study as desired to strengthen and build the participants.

We will add new topics and studies as the need arises.

We will serve each other in unselfish love.

Our goal is to challenge every member to be committed to evangelism as a top priority and command of God.

We will equip, train and provide opportunities for everyone to share the Gospel with others, including personal evangelism, church outreach events and mission trips.

We will value the soul of our visitors as worth providing follow-up literature and visitation.

We will value each person's ability to know Christ in a personal way so much that we will adjust our services, outreach events and style to meet their cultural needs and soul's longings.  We will seek to help visitors plug into a church that best meets their needs.  We will seek to join other churches in fulfilling our call.

We will concentrate on the youth of our community in specific ways, understanding their unique needs and struggles that influence their ability to connect with Christ.

We will be a church of prayer.

We will seek God's will and direction for our church through prayer.

We will make congregational decisions only after we have allowed God to speak to us through prayer.

We will regularly host prayer events.

We will seek to include prayer as a part of every meeting and service.
